These shoes are a great fit almost any type of outfit. The only kicker is, be sure to order them a half size smaller than your normal shoe size...wouldn't want them to look like clown shoes. Overall, it's a great product.

For the price, these hiking shoes are an excellent bargain. They seem remarkably well made and sturdy, yet remain lightweight through the use of man-made materials.

The use of these strong materials ensures plenty of support for the arches and protection against stubbing your toes. They have good strong laces that thread through metal eyelets. The top two eyelets are hook types, so the laces are simply slid underneath (no need to thread). These top hooks are specifically designed to grip the laces tightly. This means you are meant to pull the laces tight, then slip them under the hooks. This helps prevent the laces from coming undone. One reviewer mentioned having problems tightening the laces and this is the reason why.

I had noticed a couple of reviewer's mentioning that these shoes were very wide. For this reason I selected my standard shoe size. Unfortunately, I do not find them particularly wide myself and so cannot wear them with thick hiking socks which is a slight disappointment, though not sufficient for me to return them. With thin socks on, they fit perfectly.

I have yet to get them particularly wet, but so far they have kept out any moisture when walking through wet grass. They seems to be impervious enough when scrubbing with a wet sponge to clean off mud.
