Pros: Good arch support, they dry quickly, and they have great traction. The traction on these shoes is comparable to cleats! They also fit really nicely, with just the right amount of give to keep me from twisting my ankle when I step in a rut.

Cons: There is no practically no padding in the foot bed. I had a pair of Asics years ago, and the entire foot bed was a big gel pad--these Asics ain't like that. Even when I put in a pair of Dr. Scholl's thickest gel inserts, the foot bed still feels hard. After a couple of weeks running with these, I'm starting to have plantar fasciitis, so I will have to switch back to my old brand of shoes.

I will keep these around to use for mud runs, because of the traction and because they do wrap over the top of the foot and hold-on really well. I don't think they'd come off in the thickest pluff mud.
